I had a reservation for a new Iphone from Apple today. Little did I realise that this would entitle me to arrive on the first day of launch and queue like a moron for up to 10 hours. So I went home empty handed. But I blogged about it on
Economist's Babbage. Oh, and I posted the blog using the wifi at the Apple store in Regent's Street. Hehehe heh heh.
I usually wait until the fuss dies down before buying a new iphone (i.e. next week perhaps. All depends if I can find a buyer for the old phone as I can't get the cheap price until February at the earliest). The new operating system is pretty cool. I've been playing with it on a 3GS for a week.
ReplyDeleteWhen I reserved my phone on the website, there wasn't an option which went like this:
ReplyDeleteWould you like to queue like a moron for ten hours in order to pick up your phone on launch day? (Please tick Y/N)
or
Would you prefer to walk into the shop a few weeks after launch date, like a civilised human being, and go straight to an assistant and say "I would like to buy one of your new phones please". (Please tick Y/N)
Funny that.
